I know this is by Morris of Glasgow just by looking at it. The legs are Morris’ signature style and a total give away. So, whilst there’s no makers mark, I’m confident of its provenance.
The piece dates from the 1960s and is still highly usable. Would be great for spaces that are tight but you occasionally entertain or just need a bigger surface to work on.
The grain pattern and colouration to the surface are superb and still highly figured and rich.
There are a couple of surface scratches some chips to the veneer. Hence the low price.
