A wonderfully characterful Spanish three-legged birthing stool, heavily hand carved with deep chip detailing and fitted with a studded seat and back. The sculpted legs, pierced backrest and bold, almost primitive carving give it real presence – part folk art, part functional furniture.

Originally designed as a traditional birthing chair, today it makes a striking occasional seat, hallway statement piece or decorative accent in a rustic, Spanish or wabi-sabi interior. Solid, sturdy and full of age and texture. The leatherette shows honest wear and patina, entirely in keeping with its history.
