An Ercol Windsor sideboard in solid elm, with three central drawers and a cupboard at either end. The panelled doors, distinctive oval handles and exposed dovetail joints are typical Ercol features. This example stands on tapered legs, giving it a slightly different look from the standard Windsor sideboard. A well-made, practical piece with plenty of storage and some really nice grain throughout.
The sideboard is in good vintage condition overall, with some signs of use, light surface scratches and a few faint water marks, as shown in the photographs. Nothing particularly unusual for a piece of this age. The warm elm finish and relatively compact proportions make it a useful piece for a dining room, living room or hallway, with plenty of cupboard and drawer space.
