1960s Child’s Roll Top Desk – Tambour Front and Bakelite Inkwells

A small 1960s child’s roll top desk, made in timber with a curved tambour front, green writing surface, drawer, cupboard and fitted internal storage. The desk retains its original Bakelite inkwells and a retailer’s label for Henry A. Murton Ltd of Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland. Well suited to a child’s bedroom, playroom, nursery, homework space or as a decorative vintage writing desk.

The desk is in used vintage condition with surface marks, scratches, scuffs and finish wear throughout, particularly to the top, front edge, handles and lower sections. The tambour front, drawer and cupboard are present, and the original inkwells remain in place. No key is shown.
