An early 20th-century oak bookcase, likely dating from the 1920s or 1930s. The tall, simple cabinet has six open shelf levels, with a stepped moulded cornice and a decorative reeded frieze running across the top.
The oak has a warm, dark finish with visible grain throughout. The straight sides, shaped cut-outs at the base and shallow 30 cm depth give it practical proportions, providing plenty of storage without projecting too far into the room.
In good vintage condition overall, with surface marks, scuffs and wear consistent with age and use, particularly around the top moulding and shelf edges.
