Mid Century Teak Highboard – G Plan Fresco Cocktail Cabinet

A lovely example of the G Plan Fresco highboard, with its beautifully shaped handles, warm teak grain and distinctive raised base. Dating from the mid-century period, this British-made piece combines plenty of practical storage with some really stylish detailing. The upper section features a sliding cupboard door, open display shelving and a drop-down drinks cabinet, while below are two spacious cupboards and three central drawers. The sculpted handles, sweeping side supports and beautifully shaped stretcher base are particularly nice features. Proper mid-century design.

The highboard is in good vintage condition overall, with some water marks and surface wear to the upper surfaces, as shown in the photographs. There is also some age-related wear around the drawer handles, but nothing that detracts too much from this lovely piece. A substantial and versatile cabinet that would work beautifully in a dining room or living space, offering a great combination of display space and concealed storage.
