A long, low mid-century coffee table by Morris of Glasgow, with a dark wood top set within a contrasting lighter edge and standing on simple tapered legs.
At 139cm long and only 30cm high, it has the low proportions associated with lounge furniture of the period. The top has a dark, strongly figured grain, with the lighter edge providing a simple contrast around the perimeter.
The underside carries a faded Morris of Glasgow mark, shown in the photographs.
