A matching pair of tall, narrow bedside tables in black lacquered wood, each with a single drawer and an open lower shelf.
They have a simple square-framed construction with slightly overhanging tops and small metal ring pulls set into square backplates. The black finish has worn through in places, particularly around the edges, giving some contrast against the wood beneath.
The exact age and maker are unknown. They do not appear particularly old, so I would describe them simply as black lacquered bedside tables rather than assigning a period or origin.
