A smart 1960s Wrighton teak chest of drawers with clean lines, generous proportions and that lovely figured grain Wrighton did so well. Four full-width drawers give you proper storage without taking over the room, and the original sculpted handles keep the look simple and balanced. It’s the sort of piece that works just as well in a bedroom as it does in a hallway or living space.
There are signs of use consistent with age – small chips, light scratches and general rubbing – but nothing that jumps out or detracts from the overall look. Drawers run smoothly and the piece stands solid on its original tapered legs. An honest, well-made British mid-century chest.
