Harry Bertoia style Wire Side Chair – Black

A Harry Bertoia style wire side chair in the classic 1952 design, finished in black with fitted seat pad. The welded steel grid forms both seat and back in one continuous sculptural shape – light, architectural and unmistakably mid-century modern.

These chairs were acquired as part of a large shipment originally produced for exhibition use in 2005.  The outer rim features a single-wire edge rather than the twin “tramline” edge often seen on lower-quality reproductions. these are high quality commercial grade chairs with superb styling and design.

Light signs of use consistent with age, structurally sound and stable on their sled-style bases. Clean, honest examples of an iconic modernist design.
