Ercol Windsor Daybed Sofa – Vintage Elm & Beech Three Seat Sofa

A vintage Ercol Windsor daybed sofa with the classic sculptural spindle ends and steam-bent beech frame, retaining its solid elm backrest and original loose seat and back cushions. The long, low proportions and tapered legs make it equally suited as a statement sofa in a living room, reading room or garden room.

The frame is structurally sound and retains its original finish with an attractive, even colour throughout. The original Pirelli webbing remains present but has begun to perish with age. It is still intact and usable, although replacement should be considered in the future. The upholstery is clean and serviceable, but many buyers may choose to recover the cushions to suit their own interior. There is also a chip to the front seat rail, together with general cosmetic marks and wear consistent with age and use, all reflected in the asking price.

A well-known British mid-century design by Ercol, offering an excellent opportunity to acquire an increasingly sought-after model at a price below that of fully restored examples.
