Mid Century Teak Sideboard by Austinsuite – 1960s

A handsome six-foot teak sideboard by British furniture maker Austinsuite, dating from the 1960s. With its warm teak grain, sculpted recessed handles and elegantly tapered legs, this is a particularly attractive example of British mid-century furniture, combining Scandinavian-inspired styling with practical everyday storage.

The symmetrical design features three generous central drawers flanked by two cupboards, each with an internal shelf. At 184cm wide, it offers excellent storage for dining essentials, household items or media equipment, while retaining a clean, understated appearance.

In good vintage condition overall, with some signs of age and use, particularly around the upper left-hand drawer pull. The top presents well, with attractive grain throughout. Cable management clips have previously been fitted to the rear and underside and have been left in place should the new owner wish to use them. These are not visible during normal use. Please see photographs for condition details.
